In this new series, every artist who gives his music away for free, can introduce himself. The first band which is introduced is Alec's Band:

10 Facts about Alec's Band
1. We started the band in early 2008.
2. First, we played mainly pop punk covers from bands such as Blink 182, Green Day, and Sum 41
3. In November of 2009 we had a minor line up change. We got a new drummer (the one we have now)
4. Around this time we started exploring different styles and sounds of music
5. Some bands that have really influenced us are The Cribs, Arctic Monkeys, Cymbals Eat Guitars, The Thermals, Kings of Leon, Phoenix, The Strokes, Tokyo Police Club, & Bombay Bicycle Club, Against Me!,
6. Durring the summer of 2010 we recorded and released our full length album, "Like a Powerful Moose"
7. Durring September of 2010 we recorded and released an EP, "All It Takes Is Two Slaps"
8. This EP was recorded live and contains 3 songs from the album that we re-recorded along with two new ones.

10. At our first show after the release of our album, we brought many copies (Cases and Inserts included) of the album and gave them away to anyone who came. The show itself was also free admission.
Why our music is free:
Our music is free because we want people to listen to it. We don't pay for other people's music so we don't expect anyone to pay for ours. We'd rather have people listen to than not listen to it. Since it's online it's not like it costs us anymore if more people download it.
